Detta minnesmärke på Björnövägen, vid Kaserngatan, restes 1923 och bär inskriften: "Kungliga Vestmanlands regemente till sina i strid fallna söner 1623 - 1923". Det är bara det att "sönerna" inte har mycket för det, och inte deras fruar och barn heller....

This memorial at Björnövägen, near Kaserngatan, was raised in 1923 and its inscription says: "The Royal Vestmanland's Regiment to their sons killed in action 1623 - 1923". It's only that their "sons" can't value this gesture, and I doubt that their wives and children could...

Dieser Gedenkstein in Björnövägen, bei Kaserngatan, wurde 1923 mit folgender Inschrift errichtet: "Das Königliche Regiment Vestmanland für seine im Gefecht gefallenen Söhne 1623 - 1923". Nur hatten diese "Söhne" sehr wenig davon, und ihre Frauen und Kinder auch nicht....
